HAIR CUT BUSINESS- THE SECRET OF MAKING MONEY EVERYDAY

Are you unemployed? Do you still go about knocking at different offices distributing your CV everywhere? Well, if you would listen to my advice you will discover how you can create a job for yourself with ease. Have you ever thought of establishing a barbing saloon? There is good news for you. Are you aware that most barbers make an average of 2500 naira everyday, and a whooping 75000 monthly? Yes, it is the amazing truth. I write this article in a barbershop.
The most interesting part is that, after set up, there is little overheard bills to pay. Also, you enjoy repeat patronage from clients.

ACQUIRE THE NECESSARY SKILL
Once your mind is made up, you need to take further steps. Try to acquire the skill. Look for a good barber shop around, and do your training there. With 5000 or 10000 naira, depending on the barber fees, you are off to a great start. If you are serious with it, your training will not exceed one year. After which you are a master of yourself. Now that you have the skills, what followings?

COUNT THE COST
To start, think of the cost to establish your own barbing saloon. What you need are: rent a store, you need two clippers, furniture, two big mirrors, fans, other barbing accessories, tower warmer, sterilizer, television, generator, etc. If you don’t have funds for the take off, you could work for another person to raise capital.

5 REASONS WHY BUSINESSES FAIL WITHIN 2 YEARS OF ESTABLISHMENT

Starting a business is a great idea. Everyone wants a flourishing business. When you see your neighbor doing so well in his business, you cannot help but to envy him. You begin to think  about establishing the same kind of business, if possible, in the same location. You source for capital for that purpose. At this point you feel you have all it takes to start on a good note.

However, the truth comes out, rather shockingly. Business is slow, as against the flourishing one you had dreamed of. After two years or so, you are neck deep in debt. Paying the rent and overhead become a big challenge. Gradually, you make up your mind to shut down the business. Well, here are some of the prominent reasons, maybe unknown to you, that were responsible for the factors that led to final close down:

1.       Not enough customers or patronage. Whether you like it or not it takes some time to grow your customer base. Never you think that just because you opened a new business, that customers will automatically patronize you. It is a process, you have to woo your customers. In truth, they already have someone they patronize, so they don’t have enough reason to check yours out. To succeed you have to woo your clients like a lady.
Also you have to learn how to outsmart the competition
2.       Your  expectation was too high. You expected the business to generate as much profit as possible. This too is a process.
3.       Your business is rather new. Potential customers need time to know and understand you before they can bring any business to you.
4.       You relied heavily on the business to pay all your bills. You probably spent all your profit and even chipping away your capital. This is risky for your infant business.
5.       You probably lack the necessary skills to grow your business

BUSINESS STRATEGY: YOU HAVE TO WOO YOUR CLIENTS LIKE A LADY

Understanding customer behavior is an art. It takes a lot of experience and careful observation to figure this out. The customer is your boss, he can fire you anytime you make any silly mistake. Without them your business will close down. Just as you woo a lady with all manner of tricks, you do the same to your customers. More especially if you want them to patronize you again and again.

Some business men and women often pick offense at the slightest provocation. While it is true that some customers are annoying, it takes real patience to remain calm. No wonder it is often said that customers are always right. When you go the extra-mile to please your customers, you will enjoy their continuous patronage.

From experience I have learned never to give  up on any client that seems difficult to persuade. This is a great factor if you must succeed in real estate agency. Sometimes after showing clients certain property, it takes a while before eventually making up their mind to buy the property. In this case I have learned to apply gentle and subtle persuasion. This same rule applies to all businesses.

THE BOTTOM LINE: Always treat your customers well. Remember, first impression creates lasting impression. And there is no second chance to a good first impression. Woo your customers like a lady.

HOW MRS. CYNTHIA MAKES SO MUCH MONEY FROM AKARA(BEANS BALLS) BUSINESS AND HOW YOU TOO CAN

Beans balls business, popularly called akara, is often ignored by so many people. They don’t think you can make real money from it. As research and my observation show, you can make cool cash from it without so much stress. A case in point is Mrs. Cynthia. She lives in Ugbowo, Benin City. She is a professional in this field. Very early in the morning she resumes work.

By 7.00am customers are already queuing up to buy akara. She fries so much akara but within twenty minutes all are bought. She also sells bread and pap as complements. In the evening, she does the same thing to the extent that her spot became very popular in the area. Without a doubt, she makes quite a lot of money from her business. Even so, she has two children she is sponsoring in the university single-handedly, and while at the same time running other projects.

You too can succeed in this business. All you need is to learn the way it is prepared, otherwise you will end up doing badly in the business. This reminds me of a woman in my area that does the same akara business. One day I decided to buy from her. However, I was disappointed as the akara was tasteless. I never patronized her ever again.
This business only requires a modest investment to purchase  materials such as frying pan, groundnut oil, spoon, beans, etc. Once you have them you are ready to start. Meanwhile you need an ideal location for this business. Another point to bear in mind is that once you get started, you have to be consistent so that customers know when to find you.

HE TURNED A SINGLE IDEA INTO A FLOURISHING BUSINESS

A man and his wife started a business together. They rented a store at Ekenwan road, Benin City. They were selling DVD’s and phone accessories. Sales was low. Apart from that they were compelled to pay tax by the Copy Right Association of Nigeria(COSON) before they could play any music to advertise their line of business. Its either they pay the tax or they get out of the business.

They were running into debts. In the midst of this, Okoro and his wife kept wondering what else they could do to stay in business and thus pay their bills. Then suddenly the idea of running a restaurant popped up in their mind. They started with beans, and before long they were getting patronage. Soon they included other meals on the menu. They now prepared rice, dodo(fried plantain), fried potato, etc.

As of this moment, the business is doing great. I go there to eat lunch once in a while. They have employed a sales girl to assist them in the business.
THE LESSON
Just like Mr. Okoro, you too can succeed in whatever business you lay your hands on. All you need do is to understand the kind of business that will thrive in any kind of environment. Be patient and before long your business will thrive. I wish you success in your endeavors.
